So im wondering… How good are your CornerBacks? Our receiver Austin Franklin has been burning Corners all season long even with safety help. I expect him to have a 130+ yds receiving game agaisnt you guys, maybe even a pair of TD's. He burned Boston Colleges defense and ULL's defense. Do you guys think you will be able to contain him?

Yes.

Our corners are very good.

In fact, according to this we're ranked #4 in the nation for lowest passing yards allowed at 170.8 ypg.

So if Austin Franklin has 130+ yards, that would be seriously abnormal.

I would say the pass defense as a whole is ranked #4 in the nation (see edit above)

We're also 23rd in the nation for passes intercepted.

You'll have a lot more success running the ball.

BC fans were saying they were going to hold him to under 50 yds but they didnt , he ended up with 145 yds and 2 TD's. Austin Franklin has beaten the double team consistently this season. so im curious to see if your defensive coach believes his corners are good enough to tame him 1 on 1.  Dont be surprised if he really does have a huge game against you guys. NMSU has played a way more difficult schedule then FAU has and it clearly shows on the record. If the same NMSU  squad who showed up to play vs BC shows up and the same squad who played the first half against ULL shows up then i am certain we will win.

We are playing our 3rd string running back against you .. We may get our starter back but not 100% healthy.. i really do believe success will come from the air.
