East Boca vs West Boca

Add topic

Post

Noticed an interesting phenomenon when talking to my friends at a party the other day:

Those living in East Boca separated East from West by 95.

Those living in West Boca separated East from West by the Turnpike.

I guess this is one of those colloquial things than was never officially clarified by the City…

Where do you guys consider the dividing line, and does the above ring true for you as well?

I live in East Boca and I personally consider the turnpike to be the dividing line. Why? I don't know. I don't spend much time in the west side…

The true dividing line is Military.
I always considered it 95 though.

95 is basically a man made natural divide. Also separates the old from the new as NOTHING (basically) was past 95 until BocaWest was built!

Here in Atlanta, people don't cross the interstates if they don't have to.

Thanks for the responses.

Generally speaking I fall into the "95 separates east vs west" idea but I sometimes consider Town Center to be part of East Boca (so St Andrews) because other than Jet's Pizza and Lime Fresh Mexican, I don't have any real reason to go west of St. Andrews.
