FAU Sports Intern

Thank you all for your responses. I want you all to know that I am not a FAU graduate. I infact went to UCF as most of you can guess from my name. But over the years I have developed a great appreciation for your school and program. I was at UCF when the stadium opened and I can tell you that when the stadium at FAU opens it will be one of the greatest moments of your college career and your life.

Wow, that hurts. Don't get your panties in a bunch.  You may give yourself a heart attack and no one wants to see that. I think someone needs to get laid……BAD!!!!

Well I've heard Miami has plenty of Gay bars, have you tried your luck there?

Why would I need to go to a gay bar? I am not even gay. That was a real stupid remark.

FYI….did you know fau cannot afford to pay their equipment staff. They are considered volunteers.  I knew some girl who did it a few years back and she told me the only thing you get is to travel with the team but you have to pay for your own meals.

Pretty sure this is right in line with what other SBC schools are doing…

And the airfare and hotel averages to $400 per trip…But, she left one big one out:

- Experience with a DI program

Yeah that has to be a valuable experience.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Lock?

You don't need to lock just ban OwlPride.  He does nothing to contribute to any topics, just takes shots at FAU whenever he can and not to mention try and convince people that aid to Haiti from the U.S. is misappropriated….. ::)

Re: FAU Sports Intern

Blackandgoldknight- Internships are available in the FAU Athletics Department.  For more information you can visit the athletics homepage at "fausports.com".  There is a link for internships under the Athletics Department heading.

To clarify… FAU does pay 2 full time equipment managers as well as 2-3 students each semester.  The students receive a monthly stipend, travel to the away football games with their airfare, hotel and meals paid for by FAU Athletics.

Anyone outside of those numbers has chosen to volunteer with the program.  If at any time during their tenure they are asked to go on a football trip their airfare, hotel and meals are paid for by the department.  I have worked in the administration of the athletics department for 9 years and this has always been the case.

Thank you everyone for your support of our student athletes.

Associate Athletics Director
