I guess the future is now! Sorry to Grothe and good luck to Daniels. Our future (next year) sure ain't Van Camp. Let's get some game experience for someone else or we are gonna be REAL SORRY next year!
I kind of agree. Nothing against JVC, but if we are going to go through growing pains with an inexperienced QB next year, it may as well be with a guy that will start for 3 years instead of 1. I'd rather see if Wibert or Kooi can handle the job.

The Noles are going to wipe the field with these guys.
Does anyone know for a fact if he has a year left since we play them next year on 10/2?

He's done, he was a senior. I'm not sure about his Red Shirt status. I hope he can come back so we can beat him like we should have the last time

Just look at Troy…
Hate to hear of these type of injuires taking place, but in a non pro set, it's bound to happen at some point in time…
The other team knows that if they can take that element out of the picture, they have a better chance of winning…and while opponents may say they don't try to hit the QB, it's almost absurd to claim they don't in the end…
As far as eligibility goes, you get "five to do four"…as Jab said, he redshirted in 2005 (non medical), and played in 2006, 2007, 2008, and now 2009…
USF could apply for a "hardship" medical redshirt as a last resort, but it would have to be shown that it created some sort of hardship beyond that of the team: IE Family, etc…
Based upon that, he can't return…but, if they do petition, it will come down to the NCAA ruling after considering the petition's founding claim…

Hate to say it, but that is the risk associated with placing a QB in the offensive drivers seat aside from passing…

Based on hardships I have heard turned down before I would guess our chance at revenge is not going to happen, now we need to beat them without him. Good luck Grothe but I doubt we will see him in the NFL but you never know.
