Uncle Luke is reporting on Twitter that Al Golden is going to Tennessee.

He's a valid source right?  :)

Mrs. Golden loves Miami.  They're not going anywhere.

There's still 3 SEC coaching positions available as well as NC State, BC and Cal. I would think he's on the short list  for a few of those jobs.

Golden can get more talent with one tank of gas at Miami than he can get at any of the schools listed, why would he leave? Miami was predicted to finish last in the Coastal division and he led them to a first place finish.

At 7-5…lets not get too excited.

I'm headed to Charlotte tomorrow for the ACC Championship game to watch my 2nd favorite team GT and they do suck! The scary part, I believe  they actually have a chance against FSU(a slim one but a chance). God forbid the win and pull Oregon, they'll score no less than 70 against Tech's pathetic D.

Yeah, most of the reason Miami was 7-5 and not 5-7 was due to GTech and VTech having uncharacteristically down years.  Good luck.

Those OOC losses sucked though; 13-52 vs. Kansas St. and 3-41 vs. Notre Dame. That's by 39 and 38 points, a combined 78 points! That is what you expect from FAU or FIU, NOT UM!

Tennessee will offer upwards of $4 million, Miami will be lukcy to offer $2.

Thats a lot of "tanks of gas".

NCAA sanctions looming…he'd be an idiot not to leave.

UT is a dumpster fire right now.  You think it's all about money, it definitely is not.

Also, he had done a phenomenal job of keeping top tier local talent home and has kept FSU & UF out of Miami when it comes to recruiting. He's following Howard's recruiting philosophy from the early 80's to a t.

Will there be rumors? Sure. Will he leave? Not a chance.

I think he's as good as gone. The hammer is about to come down on UM. They could potentially be bowl-less for another 2-3 years, plus the loss of scholarships. Why would he want to stick around and deal with all the imposing sanctions that happened while Randy Shannon was the HC and not him.

The only conference that's stable right now is the SEC. Only a matter of time before the ACC crumbles and then who knows where Miami ends up. The better question should be (if it's true), why WOULDN'T he take it?

This is laughable at best. You think Miami will get worse sanctions than PSU for LESS than $10k in improer benefits?

He will stick around for the same reason Butch Davis did, good coaching &talent evaluation = quick turnaround and championships at Miami.

Uh, coming off a 6-6 season and starting well over 12-16 freshman, rs fresh and sophomores says a lot.

Its the ACC and a huge down year for VTech and GTech.

You're the biggest Miami homer on the planet.

If UT is a dumpster fire right now, Miami is a hell on earth.

Its not all about money but a raise of $3 million per year or 400% is a big deal.  I know you wear those Miami glasses the same way I wear the FAU glasses…but cmon.
