Recruit: Tommy Tuberville left dinner with Texas Tech prospects

We are all put in bad positions when we are leaving one job for another, whether you are a coach for a DI team or an executive for a local business.  You choose how you want to handle it and the people you have worked for and with,  and that was a pathetic way to handle it.

As stated above, go back to dinner. You aren't obligated to say anything. Finish your commitments in the morning then go speak to the AD and make the announcement.  It's not that hard not to be a jerk it just might take a little more effort than just walking out of dinner.

To busy thinking about himself obviously - stange sense of priorities for Collegiate Head Coaches teaching a "team game" and "team effort". They have no dignity, no honor so it may be appropriate that Tubs lead the profession!

Although not quite as bad, we went through the same situation with DOHerty when he left.

This was of course before his crashing and burning at SMU…

And now he sees that glory & the paycheck is not the only factor to be considered:

"You reap what you sew".

+1, aside from the religious tone  ;D

A lot of people on this board always say things like "if you had a chance at a 40% raise wouldn't you take it?"  Well the answer is…maybe.  If you take a job that is too big for your qualifications you will land on your face and end up making 1/4 of what your original job was 3 years later as a scout.

There are some coaches that need to move up, there are some coaches that need to stay put and build the program they are at.

Teambeer is the most knowledgeable FAU sports fan I know, way smarter than me.

Looks like good ol Tubberville is at it again!

Tommy Tuberville has made a habit of miffing players who committed to Cincinnati while Butch Jones was coach, causing at least three players to rescind their commitments from the Bearcats.

First, there was Kyle Kempt, an Ohio quarterback who had planned on sticking with Cincinnati instead of following Jones to Tennessee, where he had also been recruited. But Tuberville began offering other quarterbacks in his class, causing the quarterback to change his mind and his coach to ban Cincinnati coaches from his high school.

Now, there's two more: defensive back Demetrius Monday said Tuberville's coaching staff never contacted him in the month since the coach left Texas Tech to take the Cincinnati job. When Monday's family reached out to the program this week, the team told him the high school senior should "look other places," causing him to decommit Thursday. His father spoke to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC Article)

"The thing is, we've talked to some other kids committed to Cincinnati. They say the same thing, that they haven't heard from the staff. Basically (Tuberville) isn't calling anybody, he's trying to get the kids to de-commit on their own.

"It's a bad situation."

My two favorite teams are FAU, and who ever is beating FIU!

Could not happen to a nicer guy - please note the sarcasim! And why ANY coach would becoma an co-ordinator or assistant under him mystifies me, they ALL get thrown under the bus EVERY year working for him!

And the way he "handled" leaving TT for Cincy, what parent would want their son playing for and putting his life and future in that man's hands? he is almost as bad a Bobby Petrino, and worse in many ways.
