Ok Back on topic I do not think people did not want the UT job as much as they just ran into bad luck.

John Gurden did not want to coach flat out he like being in the booth.

Charlie Strong has a real good relationship with the AD at Louisville add they just gave him a huge contract and they are going to the ACC it was just bad timing.

UT did not really want Al Golden he has been AVG in a crappy ACC and from reading the UT message broads they would have burned down Knoxville if they hired Golden UT fans do not want a coach from NJ.

You have to think 4 SEC jobs opened this year so it made the competition  very difficult  to hire your guy and the fact there were not many huge names out there.

I do think Butch Jones was a good hire UT will be good soon.

On UM the FACT UM  has money Problems is sad they have won 5 National titles I can understand why FAU has them but not UM.
The problem is 90 percent of UM fans went to Miami Dade CC or just did not go to school so they are way less willing to open there wallet even when winning.

Is Butch Jones the right man for the job at UT?

After all, his Chippewas lost to the Owls 21-24 in the 2008 Motor City Bowl.

Not that it is relevant today, but just sayin'…….

And then won with Kelly's recruits at Cincy, so we don't really know yet do we. Guess TN will find out soon, another gamble move by them to me but a better one than Dooley who could not even win at La Tech.
