Re: What Mr. Ho really looks like

Oddly (maybe not since there is a large Asian and international population in Troy, and toward Montgomery where the huge Hyundai plant has opened), Troy has a bunch of Asian restaurants, and a couple of them are pretty good.

If you're coming, do not miss the chicken (strips) snack or meal at Crowe's. It's a dumpy little place in U.S. 231 (main drag) next to McDonald's. Get the sauce and you will thank me. Delicious. Worth the wait, crummy service and dumpy decor.

For a great sandwich, try the Campus Deli on George Wallace Drive, just north of 231 in the Hampton Inn plaza.

For good drinks and bar type food, with games on TVs, Buffalo's on 231 is good. There's also the Half Shell.

If you are buying liquor (not beer), remember that you have to purchase it from the State of Alabama store (very odd) adjacent to the Super Wal-Mart or one of the approved (bit a bit mroe expensive) stores.

On the way home, stop at the Florida Welcome Center on 231 south of Dothan. They have excellent free orange juice there. On the way into 'Bama, the welcome center used to offer free peanuts.
