Men's Hoops: WKU Dismisses Two Heralded Recruits

1.  "We have granted David his release," said McDonald.  "It is disappointing that he is not interested in living up to the championship standards of our basketball program, and more importantly our University.  We wish him all the best with his future."

2.  "Western Kentucky University incoming freshman Terrence Boyd has been released from the Hilltoppers basketball team.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound shooting guard from Norman, Okla., signed with Western on April 15. Coach Ken McDonald announced Sunday that the player didn't work out but gave no reason in a statement."

Boyd had offers from Uconn, Pitt, and Oregon State.

On a side note:

These are two serious losses this late in the game…not to mention DJ Magley departed for Tulsa…They now have 11 players on the roster at present…sound familiar??

Not sure this is THE year to get us.  We do have 4 starters returning from a team that won in the NCAA.

We are back up to 12 again.  Landed a point gaurd at the absolute last minute.  Rated an 83 by ESPN.

Depth is likely going to be an issue though…Regardless, i Hope are games are much more competitive than last year! ;D
