Sounds a lot like UCF playing us or Miami playing us.

Miami wasn't afraid to play us.  They just didn't want to pay us fair market value, so Angelos took the South Carolina game in its place for a nice check.  And I agree, UCF are a bunch of chickens  :D

UCF claims that they want money games as well and therefore will not play FAU. It makes sense, but I still think they are:

As far as Auburn ASU. I think ASU can pull off the upset. More and more we're seeing Belt teams being BCS conference teams. With the mess that happened when Tubberville was forced out, sorry when Tubberville "quit" I think will have an effect on that team. BCS teams still continue to underestimate us. They have that "Oh they're in the Sun Belt" attitude.

As far as Troy-Auburn, it has to be that Auburn knows that if they play Troy and lose (which they would) it would look really bad for them and their fans. I think more and more people in that area are starting to realize Troy is for real and won't be in the Belt for long, in fact Auburn may be realizing that too and may be afraid that if they lose some fans may jump ship too.

In my mind, that's like saying "OK I'll bet you a dollar."

Not sure I follow the logic. I will say that Miami has more to lose than gain from playing FAU. So they offer the small payout knowing that FAU won't accept and then turn around and say that they (Miami) really wanted the game, but we (FAU) didn't want the game.

Espeacially after that "they aren't a very good ball club…if they want to hear that, then let them hear that" statement he made last year on his coaching show…….
