I think his record is this??

2007 1-11
2008 5-7
2009 either 3 and 9, or 4 and 8

I agree with owlcountry here.  Believe me, whatever happens in the Shula Bowl in terms of winning or losing, will be irrelevant as to whether or not Cristobal comes back next year.  The AD won't fire him after this season for his record, and certainly not just because he ended up 3-9 rather than 4-8.  And his record in SBC games would be:

2007:  1-6
2008:  3-4
2009:  4-4, or 3-5

Oh, you are going by the SBC record and not the overall record…

If FIU goes 6-2 over the next two seasons in league play, he will break even…

Granted that would make you guys bowl eligible each year as well, but you will need to win at least 1 OOC game if you don't win the conference…

Maybe…it's possible…

Re: FIU and Univ. of Pitt ink deal

Yes, I was talking about if FIU beats FAU, then the only effect (positive) it would have on Cristobal would be his improvement every year in SBC conference records.  I only brought that point since this game has no effect whatsoever in terms of firing or keeping him at FIU after only his third year.

I agree FIU (or any team for that matter) needs to start winning at least one or two OOC games in order to have a fighting chance to be bowl elegible.

The only thing I envy about FIU is their scheduling.  If the return games dont get bought out then these are some quality home games.

I've gotta agree with you on this one man, dang they've got some good home games! Winnable, recongizable opponents here in the S. Fla market, that's what you want.

Us bringing Wyoming and UAB to town does nothing for impressing recruits but getting UCF, USF, Rutgers, even Duke (bc of their Big East name) is a good deal if you beat em at your house. Kids that are being recruited by both schools can't help but have that sway their decision a little bit.

I just want UCF, let us have another crack at them. What is Angelos doing up there???
