There are a couple of fan pics of the FIU/USF game up on the Wikipedia site for the FIU stadium

FIU Stadium - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

put in place by – who else? – their main whitewasher, Comayagua99.

How is putting up pictures of FIU Stadium on the FIU Stadium Wikipedia article whitewashing? You seem to mention Wikipedia and whitewashing quite frequently, so I'm just wondering why you keep mentioning it. Sorry, I just don't understand what's wrong with it.

I seem to mention Wikipedia and whitewashing "quite frequently?" I make dozens of posts a day. I mention it every once in awhile. How does a person with one post know what I mention quite frequently? You have logged one post under this name. I've been on plenty of message boards for all sorts of subjects and nobody establishing a legitimate identity ever devotes a first post to something like this.

Yet you've dedicated your first post to telling me what I do "quite frequently", which means you've been watching this board for awhile. So here's what I think. I think you are FIU_Fanatic in disguise, who registered a new name to maintain distinct identities.

On one hand, you have mild mannered and affable FIU_Fanatic who likes to join in the conversation, set us straight on any misconceptions about FIU, etc. Which is great and we enjoy you here.

On the other hand, you are concerned about endangering your good reputation here by engaging me in a potential argument about Comayagua99. I believe you take personal offense to it because in fact, all three of you are the same person. FIU_Fanatic is even online now… maybe to see what I have to say back to "boca_kid_01" (seriously? not "this_is_a_fake_name"?)

You seem to have the same knowledge as he does. You like to boast about the school. And it's fine that you like your school. What isn't fine is how the FIU webpages on Wikipedia have been transformed as part of Comayagua99's contributions (look at the monopoly over the editing history… this is clearly a pet project).

Ask anybody to look over it.. they are blatant brochures for the school.
- There is no negative information to balance out the article, save maybe "fourth tier ranking."
- There are many speculative statements ("expected to be completed…") without accompanying sources. There are many references to the stadium being upgraded to a capacity of 45,000 seats "by 2010" when every single credible thing I've found says "45,000 eventually." A very recent Miami Herald article said 45,000 eventually. FIU's own "FIU Stadium Project Fact Sheet", available through their website, says, "Additional phases of construction will include a student support complex and will bring the stadium's seating capacity to approximately 45,000." No mention of 2010. If there is a credible link to the date 2010, it should be sourced to the article (and I'll be happy to apologize).
- There are statements that violate a neutral POV, such as "Florida International University has an extremely active Greek Life." Uhh, okay, extremely active by who's standards? I'm not denying it's extremely active since I have no idea about Greek Life at FIU but you can't make those kinds of statements on Wikipedia unless you're quoting one of Wikipedia's credible sources (for example, newspapers but no blogs). If that was indeed written somewhere, and it's just being quoted, show us the source.
- When someone comes in to contribute a statement that doesn't sound like a boast for FIU, it is reverted by Comayagua99. Look at the history. Look at the edits.

That's my point. If you are not FIU_Fanatic, or if you are FIU_Fanatic but you are not Comayagua99, then that's fine. Regardless, what I said about the Wikipedia article stands.

Is FIU that improved? Or were they playing with emotion?

They gave USF one helluva game.

I think that space is run by the FIU Marketing Department, which is a smart idea.  I mean it looks like you are interested enough in it to try and put your obvious "fair and balance" views on a school you know nothing about anyway.  I don't understand why an FAU fan would be so bent out of shape over it anyway, it would be like me speaking about fau's wiki page, I don't know and I don't care.  I'm glad FIU has enough foresight to know that wiki is now used as a research tool by potential students and it would be just common sense to police it and make sure no trolls, no offense, do a hit and run.  Smitty, for the most part, USF seemed really unprepared and FIU's defense showed that it has the makings to be very good in the near future.  The FIU offense, was offensive, but we got some nice skill players, wish we had someone like Rusty to get them the ball.

Well they were up 17-0 in the 4th and they probably lost a lot of interest in the game once they watched their teammate airlifted off the field.  So I don't think the closeness of the score is a good indicator that FIU is improved.  But I'm sure they have to be better then they were last season, just given an extra year of maturity.

Wait a second….it appears, for some reason you don't like me, even if I haven't said EVER anything personally to you or against you, or calling out your name….For those of you that have been on these boards for years, they know I try to be as civil and respectful as possible, especially when coming to boards of other teams, just like this one.  I know you, but it appears you have a fixation with FIU and/or with me, because rather than worrying about FAU and its fine footbal team, here you are making some ridiculous, childish, and dumb comments…sort of "accusations" about me, or some other guy named whatever…FYI, I don't even visit wikipedia, nor know much about it, nor believe it's godsend of truth…

If you have a beef with someone else from some other boards, or whatever…plesase spare yourself of ridicule and do what you have to do, but don't come here ….or anywhere else, making false innuendos and comments about FIU, and myself….I am an avid FIU supporter, and will never relent on saying the truths and facts that I know about FIU.  Of course, I am not objective at all, but believe me, I try.  I put my reputation and history of posting here against whatever your bent out of shape wants it to be….Relax, and please, don't make the error again of trying to implicate me with anything before at least having a bit or knowledge of what you are posting.  I am FIU Fanatic in these boards, and I don't need to hide under any other name here to express what I think.  I am respectful here, and straightforward.  I face you face to face, not hidden under a skirt.  I expect an apology.

Re: FIU opens door to new Stadium

The Mompremier incident happened in the 3rd quarter.  The first play after that sad incident (play stopped for a good 20-30 minutes) was the only interception that FIU QB's threw in the game…They scored their last TD in the 4th quarter to make it 17-0…it was the first score after the injury…then we scored on a safety, and then a TD….
