great win by ULL, and how about ULM……this is the thing.  I honestly believe that the belt is pretty even when it comes to talent.  IF we can get our head out of our a$$ then maybe we can run the table…..but ULL and ULM winning was huge…..we cant look past the mean green either…..prety sound win vs wku

I agree.  The SBC is extremely competitive.  We can't look past UNT, but the win over WKU wasn't what I would call pretty sound.  They allowed WKU over 500 yards of offense…over 300 on the ground.  If not for WKU's 4 turnovers, they would have won.  If we don't beat them by 3 or more TD's, I'd be disappointed.  They are a bad football team, quite possibly the worst in I-A.

They are a bad defensive team…

Take a peak at how many points a game they average…

They average almost 20 points a game…and that includes the 51 they scored yesterday.  FIU held them to 10 points at home.  I stand by my original comment.  If we don't beat them by at least 3 TD's, I'll be disappointed.

Troy (with key defensive and offensive players hurt) went for the FG on the final play. Sam Glusman - who hadn't missed a FG until last night - had his 47-yard try bounce off the crossbar and out of the money with no time left. A few inches would have won the game for Troy. Glusman missed two other FG tries and Troy gave up a safety on a bad snap and lost 31-30.

Troy's defense was crummy at best and the Trojans missed the performance of Jernigan and some defensive players. The corners were bad.

Either way, Troy had to win out in the conference and now has to beat ULL and ASU at home.

How many points a game do we average?

Get ready to be disappointed IMO…because on paper we are a tad better than this team at best…

Come on.  I know we haven't played well this year, but I know we aren't close to being THE WORST team in I-A football, which is exactly what UNT is.  I'd like to hope we are more then a "tad better" then a team that routinely gives up 500 yards to Sun Belt teams…and this week, to a transition team.  I liked what I saw the final 40 minutes against ULM and have had 2 weeks to prepare for UNT.  I could be wrong, but this game should not be close.

Let's wait for the line and see what $$$ has to say…

i am not giving us more than 7 points…

Side note:

We will be down two defensive ends…….

The field goal at the end was a 57 yarder that bounced off the crossbar.

I knew it was a 57-yard try. I typed it incorrectly.
