You're right. I guess I got a little excited. He still has to win the starting position over the other four QB's we have. Either way, him just being there should make the unit stronger as a whole as it will be harder to win the starting the job with the talented QB's we have.
s*** I'd be excited too.
91 TDs and 5631 yards with only 4 interceptions? If that guy can do HALF of that at Troy he'll be a Hesiman candidate.

I have to agree with the previous poster, though. He'll need some time to adjust from high school to D1A. I'm glad all our ooc games are at the beginning of the season. IF he wins the job, he'll get LSU, Ohio State, and Oklahoma State to get the hang of things. What better way to enter college ball then by playing the absolute best? I think by the time he gets into sunbelt play he'll be a good qb. Might not be GREAT, but he'll have made some necessary improvements.

I still think it's crazy (in a good, enviable way) that you're playing not one but both of the teams from this year's national championship game. I'll be pulling for Troy in all those games!

Does anybody else have the itch? I can't wait until football season! I hope you guys beat Texas and Michigan State.

Yep, I'm right there with you on that.
Additionally, I'd like to see some of these other guys (i.e. MTSU, ULM) make some noise in OOC play as well for the Sun Belt's sake.

Question:
Why did he receive no interest (aside from Troy) from a Bowl Subdivision school?
His offers were to Tennessee Martin and Murray State…both "former" 1AA schools…although they still are to me…
