They came close on this one… tied and then ASU pulled a miracle play out of its ass.

Out of all the losses, that one should probably be the most motivational.

North Texas will probably be their 1st win.

A season like that… a record like that… you have to hand it to Mario Cristobal… he doesn't have a lot to offer recruits except a hope that the team will be better and 1000 more seats in their stadium.

Which doesn't mean squat if everyone knows you don't win, of course. You could have 100k seats and a brand new stadium with all the gadgets but nobody wants to come out and see a team lose all the time… it's why people weren't coming out to see the FAU Women's Basketball team last season.

Hopefully down the line both FAU and FIU will have the talent and the fanbase to make the Shula Bowl the kind of big deal that the athletic departments want it to be.

I'm really worried about our game against FIU this year… I'm sure they would love to win. We would be in for a very tough off season if that happened.

I am sitting here trying to decide which would make me feel worse. Losing my job or losing to FIU and ending their losing streak.
