Losing to FIU.

So who has the longest D-I losing streak is it FIU? or is it North Carolina A & T? Maybe FIU can open with A & T next season so at least one of those teams can say hey we won a game this season.

AND it would TRULY STINK if it happened!

I was speaking with someone over the weekend regarding FIU and their winless streak.  He really believes that if the streak continues, joined with the probable sanctions coming down the pipe which will include scholarship losses there is a good possibility that they would have to revert back to AA for a while until they get all this sorted out, which would definately be a plus for FAU in regard to recruiting.  I think we are probable getting a better pick then them at this stage but no competition in Dade County other than Miami would definitely be a plus.

So yes, I am pulling for a winless FIU this year and going forward.

Very interesting. If they reverted to 1-AA (or whatever it's called these days), would that mean FIU players could transfer to FAU and be eligible immediately instead of sitting out a year? I'm not clear on how the rules would apply.

the fact remains they have never been successful, since creating football in 2002

they rode our coattails into D-IAA in 2005 and didn't deserve to be in with the big boys… they have not showed anything to discredit that, either
