Now, we've got a four-man rap group entertaining on the court. They're not bad. They even worked in some FAU and Owl fingers references.

The Dance Team is up now.

Ken LaVicka is now on the court, firing up the crowd: "This is the greatest home court advantage in all of South Florida!"

With the lights dimmed, he is now introducing the women's team.

The gals are now shooting around with some chosen students. Coach Kellie Lewis-Jay addressed the crowd and told the fans her girls would "protect" their home court.

The men are up next.

The women just concluded with their cheer, "Hard Work! Dedication!"

A special basketball video was just shown for the first time.

The men's team was introduced with great fanfare. Jarvis encouraged the crowd to be their "sixth man" and pack the Burrow for each game. Then he brought out a ceremonial surf board commemorating FAU's participation in the Maui Invitational tournament, which will feature FAU vs. North Carolina on Nov. 11 on ESPN. FAU will face "shock the world" against the Tar Heels, he said, in the mainland portion of the Hawaii tourney.

Jarvis said this team is going to be "special," perhaps the most special a team he has ever coached. He promised to get to the NCAA Tournament, thankful that the fans showed up and showed their support.

Seniors Jordan McCoy and Greg Gantt were honored and briefly spoke.

And that's it, folks. The players, coaches and fans are now mingling on and around the court.

The feeling was much more upbeat this year and the video was nice, but a bit long for this crowd and lacked a polished touch.

The food, by the way - cheesesteak sandwiches and fixings - was pretty good. And free.
