We could turn out to have a pretty decent team. For our sakes, playing teams like UCF and FIU - not to mention someone like Duke - I definitely hope we can at least have a respectable team. But the new guys are unproven and the best of the "old" guys are Trapp, who is decent but spotty, and Bertone, who is great but spotty. So it's hard to know what's in store. We'll have a better idea by how much we struggle when we play Ly-

Obviously never want to side with the FAU students who say we're "wasting" money on sports programs but when you read things like:
"The Owls have only been playing Division 1 men's basketball since the 1993 season. In that 20 year span, the Owls have had only 5 winning seasons and have won 20 games only once, during the 2011 season. "
…you start to understand why they feel that way. But that's just one way to spin it; if we'd had say three 20-win seasons I'm sure the article would come out differently.

Florida Atlantic University men’s basketball will have at least three additional games televised during the 2013-14 season, as Conference USA announced its initial television schedule today.
FAU’s non-conference game at DePaul University on Thursday, Dec. 12, will be televised on Fox Sports 1, with tip-off set for 9 p.m. The first conference game to be televised will be the contest on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014 at FIU in Miami. The game will be carried on CSS and will tip-off at 6 p.m. CSS also will televise the Owls’ game at Marshall in Huntington, W.Va., on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at noon.
Additional games could be added at a later date as part of the conference package.
