Austin Langham hit two run-scoring singles, and Billy Endris drove in the go-ahead runs in the sixth inning, as top-seeded Florida Atlantic got past Charlotte 7-5 in the opening round.

Rice posted a season-high 18 hits while holding off a late Louisiana Tech rally to claim a 13-12 victory over the Bulldogs in the opening game of the C-USA Tournament Wednesday.

The teams split regular season play 1-1, with the third scheduled game cancelled after four innings of action due to weather.

That's one way to say it!

The team did what they needed to do to win, but Rice battled and took the win. Too bad as one road is straight and one road is long and difficult to travel. We will go deep into the pitching staff and will need to score score and score some more to keep advancing. Not impossible.
