Yeah a win is a win, but we this isn't sustainable winning baseball at this point.

It was extremely windy, so maybe the pitching gets like a quarter pass tonight

I agree about the wind. We had a couple of guys look very uncomfortable trying to make plays. As you said, a win is a win. But we need better pitching if we plan on playing after the regular season is finished. Rice SMU LTU and ODU will beat us if we don't.

That plus a short rest from a tough week.

More homeruns in game two, unfortunately they are all from the Illini.

Jake Miednik is having his first rough outing of the year, as a two run shot in the third precedes a solo and three run shot in the fourth.

Owls down big.

Make  it 10-0 as Illinois sends another one over the fence.

Ok, so, Illinois now has FIVE homer run on the afternoon.

As for Florida Atlantic, they have added one courtesy of David Miranda's 6th inning launch.

But this one is not pretty folks.

Bot 8th

ILL 14  FAU 1

Florida Atlantic picks up three runs during their turn in the 8th thanks to an Illinois error and Abraham's 2 RBI single, but will still need a major comeback to avoid the Illini evening the series.

Top 9th

ILL 14  FAU 4

That's all she wrote, Owls (5-4-1) fall to the Illini and the series is now tied at 1-1.

Miednik has a day to forget, 4.2 IP, 10 H, 10 R, 6 ER, 1 BB, 5K,  4 HR.

Wow wasn't expecting the from Miednik he has been great so far.

Pitching has been a D- this year and the Defence has made 7 errors so far in the serious.

We better fix this or this season will get ugly.
Rice isn't as strong this year, but C-USA is deeper with ODU and La Tech being good teams.

Also on a side note yesterday could have been a one of the worst athletic days in FAU history.
