Lost the series to utsa. Pathetic. Gonna have to win the conf tourney to get into a regional this year. Gonna see what coach Mack really has next year, hes going to have to replace 4 to 5 starters off top of my head.

“Credit to UTSA's pitcher, he threw a great game against us today,” said Head Coach John McCormack. “We could not get anything going all day. They were able to put together two good innings and made them stand. Tomorrow's game is a big one and we have to be ready to play.”
An RBI groundout in the second inning pushed UTSA (20-17, 9-8 Conference USA) ahead, and they added two more runs in the fourth and three in the fifth. Meanwhile, Roadrunners’ starting pitcher Nolan Trabanino was putting up nothing but zeroes, allowing just one hit up until that point.
A trio of FAU (24-13-1, 11-6) relievers went 3 2/3 combined innings and only one UTSA baserunner reached after they plated their final run. But Trabanino matched that, scattering three hits over his last four innings of work, including a perfect ninth to end it, going the distance on 138 pitches.
The game three matchup, with TBA listed in the starting pitcher slot on each side, begins at 12:00 PM.

The Owls find their offense and pitching in game three to avoid a Roadrunner sweep.
Mark Nowatnick gets the start and goes five innings with just four hits allowed. The trio of Peden, Marman, and Ragsdale finish the game with a total of three hits and five strikeouts.
“I was really pleased with how our guys came out today, there was energy and intensity,” said Head Coach John McCormack. "The bullpen followed Mark’s lead and threw four scoreless. It seemed everyone chipped in offensively en route to the 10-0 victory.”
In the seventh, when it was still a 2-0 game, Jared Shouppe gave the Owls some much-needed breathing room on a perfect safety squeeze with two outs to plate Stephen Kerr, who had doubled earlier in the inning.
Shouppe came in on a wild pitch, and two more scored on a single up the middle by Eric Rivera. Jordan Poore knocked in two in the eighth on a single, and an error with the bases loaded in the ninth allowed the final two runs to score
FAU improves to 25-13-1 overall and 12-6 in C-USA where they are now in a three way tie for 2nd.
Tuesday's game against FGCU has been moved to the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches.
