C-USA Football: Games for Week of 9-9-17

The second full week of the 2017 schedule presents a number of great opportunities for Conference USA to post impressive non-conference victories.

The league has two games at ACC schools (Middle Tennessee at Syracuse and Marshall at NC State), two at Big Ten foes (Florida Atlantic at Wisconsin and WKU at Illinois), two at Big 12 teams (Charlotte at Kansas State and UTSA at Baylor) and one home game vs. the SEC (Mississippi State at Louisiana Tech).

Non-conference games against the American (North Texas at SMU), MAC (UAB at Ball State) and Independent Massachusetts (Old Dominion) are also on the docket.

The first conference game of 2017 will take place Saturday night in El Paso, where UTEP hosts Rice.

Uh Oh… only 2 FCS opponents this week. CUSA went 6-7 over the opening week's play but were 0-4 vs. Power 5, and only 1-3 vs. Group of 5 competition and 5-0 vs. FCS.

By the way, UTSA @ Baylor and WKU @ Illinois left off the individual game list.
