The Panthers, who cashed in on being the underdog three times (Tulane, Marshall, UTSA), succumb while in the favorite role (+10).

FAU will likely be favored by double digits next weekend.

After rushing for 168 yards and scoring three touchdowns in a 37-30 victory at FIU, Old Dominion senior RB Ray Lawry has been named Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week.

The Defensive Player of the Week goes to Southern Miss freshman LB Racheem Boothe, who had 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and a forced fumble in a win at Rice.

Special Teams honors were given to Florida Atlantic sophomore KR Kerrith Whyte, Jr., who became the first player in school history to return a kickoff for a touchdown.

C-USA Football Players of the Week are voted on by a panel of the league’s media.
