Golden Eagles are shooting a stellar 50% thus far.

Southern Miss might have the most underrated guards in the conference. Their backcourt is oozing with athleticism.

Also doesn't help that the Owls have committed 3 turnovers, while we are still waiting for the first from USM.

Absolutely awful. The only thing more dead than this team is, is the energy in the arena.  
Never have I seen such a half against a team that FAU should be beating.

Time for some soul searching. The Owls are getting DOMINATED in EVERY statistical category. The team, the bench, and the arena lacks life as FAU ends the half on a 2:45 long scoring drought.

Divert your eyes if FAU getting blown out makes you sick, because these stats will be rough. The only positive thus far is the rebounding battle, but that was expected with USM's weakness in the paint.

Just when you start to have some hope again, FAU goes as cold as Antartica.

Owls pulled within nine before allowing a 7-0 Golden Eagle run. Southern Miss regains all momentum after the FAU faithful began to make some noise.

This is the second time FAU has pulled within ten this half. The first time was wasted as USM went on a 7-0 immediately after. Owls can't allow that to happen again if they want any hope of salvaging this game.

Justin Massey hasn't been having the best game (2-12 FG, 7 points), but the senior hits two clutch free throws to pull #FAU back within single digits.#USM 62 - #FAU 53, 4:30 left in the second half.

Awful. Absolutely awful.

Giving up 52% FG to USM does not bode well with high scoring WKU and Marshall coming up.

The Owls drop their second straight, falling to 10-13 (4-7) on the year.

FAU still only has one home CUSA win this season.

Hardest stretch of the conference schedule upcoming, with trips to WKU and Marshall on the docket.

Really looking forward to our basketball coaching hire this offseason, it may reengage me in this team. This is the first year I haven’t had season tickets in over a decade and last year I used 2 games worth. The team is pathetic.

I don’t think it’s a guarantee he gets fired. They may wait till they have an AD in place.
