Owls post second straight double-digit offensive in game three to sweep Seton Hall

The Owls post their second straight double-digit offensive in game three, this time a shutout, to sweep Seton Hall for the three game weekend series.

Vince Coletti (1-1) has his best outing of the season, scattering four hits over five complete innings, and striking out four.

Offensively, two Owls hit home runs on the day with Diamond Johnson nailing a three run shot for hist first of the year, and David Miranda adds a solo shot to tie Gunnar Lambert for the team lead (2).

"It was nice, we kept answering and doing some good work at the plate", said Coach John McCormack. "And on a day like this, we got five guys in to pitch, and every position player got in in some way, so it was a good day.”

For the series, FAU (11-4) outscores the Pirates 25-5.

Rounding out a five game home stand, Florida Atlantic will host North Florida for a two game mid-week series starting this Tuesday at 6:30 PM.

The team will then kick-off their 2018 C-USA campaign next Friday at Old Dominion.
