“Up Close” with Yourhighness Morgan

yourhighnessmorganheadshot2010

Florida Atlantic football brings back a talented and experienced group of linebackers for next season, but one player who could have the most potential is redshirt-sophomore Yourhighness Morgan. Coming out of high school, Morgan was ranked as the 44th best linebacker in the nation by Rivals.com.

Redshirting his freshman year, Morgan was a consistent special team’s performer last season and also found some time in the linebacker rotation before being sidelined with a concussion. He tallied a season four tackles against Western Kentucky.

Entering fall camp, Morgan is set to play behind senior Malik Eugene.

A graduate of South Sumter High School in Webster, Florida, Morgan claimed All-State and All-County honors his senior year, and signed with the FAU Owls over other offers from Michigan State, Purdue and UCF.

Named Yourhighness after his mother’s decision, Morgan claims that people always react when they hear his name. Morgan’s great uncle had originally named himself King Thomas, and that’s where his mother got the idea to name Morgan something unique. Morgan also is a relative of former University of Florida linebacker Earl Everett.
