FAU hit the field for the first day of preparations for Saturday's match-up against Western Kentucky after having a well deserved Monday off.
"We practiced fine, I just thought they would be looser", said Coach Schnellenberger.
The Owls used a wish bone formation last weekend that proved successful, scoring a TD, and there were some more variations of that late in the session.
"I'm sure they (offensive coaches) saw it some place and liked it", Schnellenberger said. "It's a great play if you fool the end."
And fool them it did.
"I attribute that to the fact that no one's seen the wishbone, unless they are playing a military academy, in quite some time", said offensive coordinator Darryl Jackson.
FAU will return to preparation tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
Injury Updates
Rob Housler, who had a contusion in last weekend's game was a full go, but still looked a little sore.
Alex Pattee was described as "the only one who's injured of any consequence".
Jarvis Givens had his left arm in a sling. "He got hurt out there today", said Schnellenberger. "We'll know when the doctors see him tonight (if he can play Saturday). I don't count it a vote until the doctor say's it's a vote."
