Sun Belt Football Action for October 16th, 2010

Here's the Sun Belt Football lineup for Week seven, October 16th. Teams in bold are the desired winners for the Owls.
Arkansas State (2-4) vs Indiana (3-2) @ 12:00 p.m. - ESPNU If this contest was at home for the Red Wolves, they would be looking at their second OOC opponent that was beatable. But this one is on the road, and the Hoosiers are stinging sorely after a 38-10 whooping by Ohio State last weekend. Not to mention Indiana's passing attack, which will be too much for ASU to counter defensively. Red Wolves to Face Hoosiers Saturday
Middle Tennessee (2-3) vs Georgia Tech (4-2) @ 3:30 p.m. - ESPN3.com Blue Raider Head Coach Rick Stockstill will look to find a way to stop the grinding triple option ground game employed by the Yellow Jackets.  Does he have the tools necessary on the roster? No. GT wins easily. Stopping Triple Option Will Be Key
Louisiana (2-2) vs Troy (3-2) @ 7:00 p.m. - None It would be nice for the Owls if the Cajuns could win this game, but it's not unlikely. Troy comes in the heavy favorite with a more balanced team. Anything can happen in the Sun Belt though, especially if the Cajuns can force a few turnovers, so a late 3rd quarter score check may be worthwhile. Cajuns Return to Sun Belt Play at Troy
Louisiana-Monroe (2-3) vs Western Kentucky (0-5) @ 7:00 p.m. - WKU Pay Per View The Toppers have shown some signs of an improved team this year despite moving to a more run laiden offense with a pro style passing attack to accompany. If they had a little more size to go with it, some earlier outcomes might have been different. ULM slipped by FAU in a game chocked full of errors, but will need to play their best to win this one. Expecting a close contest that could see an end to the nation's longest active losing streak on Saturday - much to the delight of Topper fans. WKU Hosts ULM Saturday Night on Hilltopper Pride Day
Florida International (1-4) vs North Texas (1-5) @ 7:30 p.m. - Sun Belt Network North Texas celebrates homecoming with a visit from the Golden Panthers. If they don't get a win soon, it's looking more and more like the end of the "Dodge-ball" era is near. WR/QB Riley Dodge won't be available having opted to undergo wrist surgery on his non-throwing hand. Regardless, Panthers should roll in this one. Mean Green Game Day
Enjoy your weekend.......
