FAU Quarterback Greg Hankerson to Transfer
Greg Hankerson, Florida Atlantic University quarterback, has been granted permission to transfer by the FAU football coaching staff.
“We wish Greg the best of luck as he pursues the opportunity to get more playing time,” said Charlie Partridge, FAU’s head football coach.
Hankerson, a rising junior quarterback, has seen action in 16 games and drew starts at Rice in 2013 and at Alabama in 2014.
He ends his FAU career 69-142-3 for 647 yards and he tossed four touchdowns.
Hankerson (pictured) rushed for 75 yards. He has served as the back-up to Jaquez Johnson, who earned preseason second team honors by Phil Steele yesterday.
Johnson, the expected opening day starter, will now be backed up by redshirt freshman Jason Driskel and newcomer Daniel Parr.
