The Florida Atlantic volleyball team (10-14, 1-7) suffered a three set loss tonight on the road against Arkansas State in Jonesboro.
Freshman Darija Sataric led the Owls with nine kills, while Christina Wallinger was close behind with eight.
The first set remained tied at six all until ASU went on a decisive 19-7 run to notch a 25-13 win.
Florida Atlantic would enjoy a 17-16 lead late in the second series only to fall 25-22 as Arkansas State (11-9, 4-4) displayed a diverse offensive with kills earned by five different players.
Despite leading the majority of the third frame, the Owls found themselves tied at twenty-six before surrendering the final two points needed by ASU to finish out the evening.
The Red Wolves enjoyed a 25.8 to 16.5 advantage in kill percentage on the match, which was a major factor in the decision.
