FAU Football Announces 2015 Schedule

Florida Atlantic University’s football team will play a six-game home schedule in 2015, including three games against in-state foes. The six-game home slate marks the first time since 2003, and just the third time in the program’s 15 seasons, that FAU has hosted six regular-season games. The schedule also features games against three first-time opponents and eight 2014 bowl eligible teams.

”I’m excited to play three in-state teams, opening up with a marquee team at home against Miami,” said Charlie Partridge, FAU’s head football coach. “It’s exciting to have six home games for the first time in FAU’s FBS history and to play eight 2014 bowl-eligible teams is an honor and a sign of where our program is going.”

The Owls open at Tulsa on Saturday, Sept. 5 and start the 2015 home schedule on Saturday, Sept. 12 against the University of Miami. The following weekend FAU hosts Buffalo on Saturday, Sept. 19.

FAU begins the 2015 C-USA schedule on the road, at C-USA football newcomer Charlotte on Saturday, Sept. 26. The fifth week of the season will be a bye week for the Owls before they return home to host Rice on Saturday, Oct. 10.

Marshall, which won the inaugural Boca Bowl at FAU Stadium this past December, will return to Boca Raton on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Owls then travel to UTEP for the first time on Saturday, Oct. 24 and will serve as host to the 2015 Shula Bowl versus FIU, on Saturday, Oct. 31.

FAU’s November slate starts on the road facing Western Kentucky on Saturday, Nov. 7 and the Owls host Middle Tennessee, on Saturday, Nov. 14.

The Owls complete their non-conference schedule by traveling to Gainesville, Fla., where they face Florida on Saturday, Nov. 21. The 2015 regular-season schedule concludes on Saturday, No. 28 at Old Dominion.

Season tickets start as low as $60 and are on sale and can be purchased by calling 1-866-FAU-Owls. The name of the opponents will not change; however, days and times may be adjusted as CUSA works to set the 2015 television schedule.
