Hill was impressive at the plate in UTSA’s 4-0 week. The junior outfielder hit .615 (8-for-13) with seven RBI, four runs, a home run, a triple, two doubles and a monstrous 1.154 slugging percentage. Hill recorded back-to-back three-hit games in their 9-3 midweek win over SFA and their conference opener against Florida Atlantic. In Friday’s 8-2 victory over FAU, Hill kickstarted the offense with a 2-run triple in the first and proceeded to collect a double later in the contest. He added another multi-hit performance in their series clinching win as both of his hits produced a pair of RBI on the day. The Roadrunners sit atop the C-USA standings after the series sweep and own the fifth longest active winning streak in the nation at 10.
In Charlotte’s series clinching win over LA Tech on Sunday, Hansen delivered a masterful performance on the mound. The sophomore right-hander took a no-hitter into the fifth and tossed 7.2 innings of shutout ball allowing just three hits and striking out two. Hansen ended his outing with a career-high 112 pitches, the most by a 49er this season. This marks Hansen’s second C-USA Pitcher of the Week award in his career with both outings coming on March 19. On this date the past two seasons, he has recorded 13.2 innings of shutout baseball.
