Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

In looking at the list of teams still looking to fill slots on their 2009 schedules, it occurs to me that FAU has something pretty good to offer: I think it still has to schedule a game at Dolphin Stadium in 2009 (the FIU game is at FIU, so that won't be it). So the lure of playing at Dolphin Stadium in recruiting-rich South Florida might help get a home-and-home from someone. Or, the Owls could head in the opposite direction and get one of the other regional teams that schedules up, such as the Citadel (which has played at Florida, etc.).

correct… we do… and as of right now, it's gonna have to be one of the conference games, because all our OOC games are on the road

Games at Dolphin Stadium
2008 - FIU
2007 - Minnesota
2006 - FIU
2005 - Oklahoma State
2004 - FIU

Warhawks sched announced

In the small clip above, they said that date and time can change for conference game, but figured I'd pass it along anyway so we can all start to map our 2009 schedules and block dates off so we don't have weddings (Nunzio *cough* LOL), out of town trips, etc.

Reported by the link above: Nov. 29 ULM @ FAU

Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

good to know

but, you know as well as i do, that those dates are tentative, due to ESPN and ESPN2 wanting to pick up some games for their sun belt package

those games are NOT in stone, but rather erasable pen, lol

Re: 2008 Football & Future Schedules

Yeah, probably no.2 pencil!

Especially because the dates in that report are SUNDAYS, and unless ULM football has really lost it's mind, I don't think ULM is playing on Sundays week in and week out.

I would just love to see fans start to "pencil" dates in their calendars, whether or not they are accurate right now, so that plans can try to be made AROUND football. Even though the dates aren't set in stone, I'm starting to block those dates and times off. If they change, so-be-it.

The only date in that release that falls on a Sunday is Nov. 29th vs. FAU.
