DB Jack Walz Visiting
St. Edwards (Lakewood, OH) defensive back Jack Walz is on campus today unofficially visiting FAU. Walz, a natural safety, holds offers from Bowling Green, Air Force and FAU. The Owls were the first to offer Walz back in May.
The recruit isn't visiting for a camp – as those wrapped up earlier this week. He is just in Boca Raton to tour the facilities and meet with the coaches.
Walz posted a 107.73 SPARQ rating at a combine earlier this spring, which gives him one of the top 100 scores for the 2014 recruiting cycle. For a comparison, Tim Tebow scored a 96.92 coming out of high school.

Understand…getting the recruiting trail open to us in Ohio is something we should continue to work on though. Tough kids and a lot of lineman on both sides of the ball come out of that state.
Agreed. Midwest produces a lot of great linemen.
