Jaylen Wester
LB
6-1, 195
Palmetto High
Brother of current Owl La'Jontay Wester. Received his offer December 10, 2020. Attended the 2021 FAU Spring game, saw what he liked, and was ready to make it official.
"It has always been a dream too play with my brother, Wester said. "It feels like family with the relationship my family has with coach (Raymond) Woodie.''
Owls linebackers/assistant head coach Raymond Woodie started his coaching career at Palmetto high school and later offered Jaylen's father when he was a Western Kentucky coach.
Jaylen Wester put up video game-like stats on defense in 2020 with 126 total tackles, 30 tackles for loss, three interceptions, and three blocked kicks.
He will be coming to play a "hybrid safety linebacker'' role at FAU.
