V&S supports FAU and has always been far superior to 620, as well as closer to campus.

Finally stopped in here the other day and was really disappointed. Two of my friends felt the same way.

Different strokes I guess. It was worth trying once.

Did you get your sandwich on the Italian bread or the regular sub roll?

Crusty Italian bread and a side of pasta salad is the way to go at V&S

The Italian bread. That's their big draw, right?

I've still yet to try this place…both times the wait was simply not doable.

In person 20 minutes disclaimer because of catering jobs, on the phone was given a 40-45 minute window til I could come pick it up.

Had to pass both times…

Yeah man!  This is the closest to sandwiches from NY/NJ in the entire state and in my opinion, the best in all of Florida.  Not sure what you got but if you were looking for a 620 overflowing sandwich, that's not what you're gonna get there.

So here are the options during the week, in my opinion.

11 am sharp (or earlier) or after 1:45/2:00 pm.  I used to work at two different firms in the area and we would order lunch at 9 am to pick up at noon.

The weekends are just as busy but the waits will be toned down a bit, probably easiest around 1:30.

I would recommend ordering ahead and picking up, and their time estimates are usually pretty dead on accurate.

I will say that if you get a hot sub, I would eat it there.  The hot goodness and steam from the foil could ruin the mean.

Good info! Will check it out per your direction  :Winking:

The wait just shows they have a high demand product, no harm done there!
