FAU landed a major commitment from three-star defensive end Dorien Josey on Sunday night. The Rockledge prospect, who visited back on January 11th, also had offers from Colorado State, FIU and Kent State.

Defensive line coach Eric Mathis went in the home this past Tuesday with Josey in hopes of securing the 6'3 242 lbs prospect's pledge before other officials could be set up.

"Their relationships are really tight'', said Dorien in a recent interview when describing the coaching staff.

This is the Owls' second defensive line commit in 2019 cycle, combining with three-star Miami Edison defensive end Trevon Thomas.

Josey rates as a .855 prospect on the 247 Sports composite scale, and is ranked 63rd nationally at his position.

I really like how this class is taking shape. Nice to see more of a traditional class coming in lieu of mostly JC players that have mostly failed so far.

This is Kiffin's best work so far class wise in my opinion.

For everyone

Do not read too much into "offers'' you see listed. While some of those schools might have shown interest what one time it doesn't mean they have a legit offer.
