There are many Atlanta alumni but I doubt very many will make the trip. I plan on being there as much I can plan anything this far out. I think if things go well early in the season (upsetting Minnesota which I don’t foresee) then maybe more fans will make the trip.Posted On: Feb 2nd 2020, 6:23 PM #393916
This Atlanta alum will be there!Posted On: Feb 3rd 2020, 11:16 AM #393921
The largest colection of Southern fans are also located in Atlanta. If GSU givs the Broncos a great game then I can see the stadium full for the FAU game.

I generally don’t travel to away games with bowl games/FIU being the exception. But being that I hear savannah is a really cool place and it’s a doable weekend getaway I’m planning on making the trip up.Posted On: Feb 3rd 2020, 1:15 PM #393925
I hope you will have a full day in Ssvannah. River Street & Market Street will have all bar/ resterants you will need. Also think of taking a tour.

River Street was converted into Bars and Resterants from old 3 story cotton storage buildings wit 5 foot thick brick walls.

Dont try to get into the main GSU Stadium parking lot'
If your coming in from i-95 you'll take I-16 east. Watch for HW67 and take a right. it will lead you directly to the campus.
Turn left onto Chandler Rd. You can reach all the free parking and tailgating areas as shown on the map. A lot of Visiting fans at the free parking next to the 2nd X on the bus rout.
I dont tailgate any more. I travel down Chandler Rd 2 blocks and park in the parking lot across from the restaurant Dengus McG'see. Walk a block to the Russell Union and block up a free transit bus their.

I have no problem admitting that FCS teams are a 2nd tear division 1 football programs. FCS teams have 63 scholarships vs 85 FBS scholarships. . FBS had their pick of better athletes for the most part. We did play for 8 FCS National Championships winning 6. In FCS we had to play against the top 16 FCS teams in the nation, 4 wins, to get to and win the FCS National Championship which gave us a 15 game season.
I Understand that Southern has moved to FBS now and must pay their dos all over again to make its mark in the G5 conferences., ad so it is.
