FAU and COVID-19
In the late afternoon of March 11th, the Florida Board of Governors has directed all of the state's public universities to shift towards "remote instruction." This means FAU is being asked to move all of their classes online so students do not come to campus. Moreover, the state has asked FAU students, who are currently on Spring Break, to not return to campus until at least 14 days after Spring Break concludes this Sunday.
It is currently unknown what ramifications this will have on FAU Athletics.
FAU Baseball's contest vs. Penn was called off just moments before first pitch as the Ivy League suspended all Spring sports practices and competition.
At the time of this posting, the C-USA Basketball Tournament is still on, with FAU set to tipoff against Old Dominion in a couple of hours.
The NCAA has decided to play all of it's NCAA Tournament games, also called March Madness, behind closed doors.

Or just taking drastic needed measures to make sure this doesn't spread and overrun our health care system.
Some things are bigger than sports.
Leagues are going to lose billions and they did not make those decisions because of the media drumming up a story.
Look what happen with Utah Jazz.
The CDC could come out and say something that counteracts what we are seeing on the nightly news, but they are advising people to avoid large crowds.
We don't even have the ability to test people on a massive level.
