With the summer dead period ensuing on June 28th, Head Coach Willie Taggart and his staff will enjoy a number of unofficial visitors this weekend. Here are the current commits and prospects we have learned are expected to be on campus.

Brandon Schabert 6-2, 185 lbs WR - Schabert is a member of the Owls' 2021 Class out of American Heritage, Delray who is both rangy and deceptively quick at his position. You can read more about him Here

Jymetre Hester 5-10, 160 lbs WR - As the first junior college commit of the 2021 cycle, Hester will be making a return to Boca Raton to further bond after also swinging by camp earlier in the month.

Chris Brazzell 6-4, 175 lbs WR - Brazzell is a current 2022 Owl pledge who impressed the staff earlier this month in the first of their three traditional position camp sessions before verbally committing. He's very talented, and has high upside at the next level of play.

A'Ceon Cobb 6-3, 185 lbs WR - Cobb, who is pictured above, saw his first offer come from the Owls way back on October 24th, 2020. Since then, the 2022 prospect has gained some notable traction in the recruiting arena, with UCF showing strong interest along side nods from Buffalo, Coastal Carolina, UAB, and New Mexico State. He hails from Jones High School in Orlando, from which the Owls also have interest in that of QB Kaylan "Julian" Calvez, who visited with his teammates at an FAU camp session earlier this month.

David G. Conner 6-7, 280 lbs OT - Lots of teams currently in play for the talented 2022 Deerfield Beach High big man's services, as he holds reported and claimed offers that run the gamut of Power 5, Group of 5, FBS, and FCS programs. Of note, he will have set foot on the Boca Raton campus of Florida Atlantic twice for unofficial visits in the last three weeks. Last time out, he said "FAU was lit." Conner shared that he currently has the Owls in his Top 2.

Luke Rucker 6-2, 190 lbs QB - Via our Shane Marinelli's camp report on the signal caller earlier this month: "In a state where it's tough to find consistent quarterback play, Luke Rucker appears to be one of the top up and comers in the 2023 class. Luke's big frame and smooth release was apparent in one-on-one drills with receivers. Luke only holds an FAU offer now but will gain a lot more big-time college interest playing with a strong Sanford Seminole team. Expect Luke to be a top candidate to be FAU's recruiting class of 2023 quarterback."

Jahbari Hill 6-1, 185 lbs DB - A member of the 2021 Owls' class, Hill can be considered a potential future star in the secondary.

Jeffery Bonica 6-5, 350 lbs OL - A Miami Edison product, who is Coached by Uncle Luke, Bonica is currently pledged to the ACC's Georgia Tech.

Leon Hart 6-2, 190 lbs LB - As a mid-to-high three star rated 2022 prospect, Hart is garnering some interest from fellow C-USA member Marshall, who he is coming off a visit with. However, the Owls may find favor in the fact that, like Bonica, he's also from Miami Edison.

Nathaniel Joseph 5-10, 165 lbs WR - Rounding out the trio of expected Edison visitors, Joseph is regarded by 247 Sports as the nations 24th best prospect at wide receiver in the 2023 class. The Owls currently have stiff competition from P5 programs, including a nod from former Owl skipper Lane Kiffin's Ole Miss staff.

We'll update any additions here as the weekend plays out, and offer further notable content as available.

As always, GO Owls!
