Charlotte INF Austin Knight and DBU RHP Braxton Bragg earned the first C-USA weekly honors of the year.

Knight led the squad with a .467 (7-for-15) batting average and an OPS of 1.326 as Charlotte took three of four from the MAC preseason favorite, Ball State. The senior third baseman hit safely in all four games of the series while blasting his first home run of the season and cashing in eight RBI. Knight drove in five of his eight RBI in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday as he went 2-for-2 with a homer, a walk and a hit by pitch. He is the only Niner with multiple extra-base hits (3) and is tied for the team lead with five runs scored.

Bragg was electric on the mound in his DBU debut on opening day as he went five scoreless frames, allowing only one hit with no walks and a career-high 12 strikeouts. The Nebraska transfer doubled his previous career-high of six and punched out four straight Fordham batters on two occasions. Bragg picked up the first win of the season for the Patriots, and his 12 strikeouts marks the most by a DBU pitcher on Opening Day in school history.

ROBBED! FAU Baseball OF Dylan Goldstein is passed over for C-USA Hitter of the Week with more RBI than the recipient (who also struck out 3 more times).

So, HE GET'S OUR 🏆

Goldstein had 9 (not 8) RBI with a .467 AVG (7-of-15), 2 2B, a HR, and an OPS of 1.300.
