Florida Atlantic football is stacking their depth at tight end, making another splash in the transfer portal with the addition of Alabama's Elijah Brown, who will transfer to Boca Raton.
Brown is the third tight end to commit to FAU via the transfer portal, joining Jackson Sumlin (Oklahoma) and Kahlil Brantley (Miami) in the process. He was a reserve in his only season with the Crimson Tide, playing behind Cameron Latu who went on to be drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the third round of this year's NFL Draft.
He showcased a lot of his skills as a playmaker and run blocker coming out of Wayne High School. 247Sports viewed him as the eighth-best tight end in the country and the 10th-best player from Ohio.
Some of his highlights from high school can be seen below:
Rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, and Rivals, he received solid offers from Auburn, Notre Dame, and Virginia Tech among others before enrolling at Alabama in 2022.
Joining the Owls nearly a month after entering the transfer portal on April 17, Brown will now be competing with Kahlil Brantley, Carter Boatwright, and Jackson Sumlin for a starting spot at tight end.
