The American’s Week 3 schedule includes includes two weeknight prime time games on ESPN, including the first conference game of the season as Navy visits Memphis Thursday (7:30 p.m. ET).

Friday’s ledger has UTSA against Army from the Alamodome in San Antonio (7 p.m. ET).

The slate also includes three games against top-25 opponents on Saturday, including two home games. South Florida hosts No. 10/10 Alabama (3:30 ET, ABC), Tulsa hosts No. 19/16 Oklahoma (4 p.m. ET, ESPN2) and Florida Atlantic visits No. 25/21 Clemson (8 p.m. ET, ABC Network).

UTSA played in front of a home crowd of 49,342 at the Alamodome for last week’s game against Texas State, marking the second-largest home attendance in program history.

Navy’s 24-0 win against Wagner was the Midshipmen’s first shutout since a 34-0 decision against Army Dec. 6, 2008. It was Navy’s first shutout in Annapolis since a 7-0 win against Lafayette Oct. 15, 1994.

Charlotte’s defense held its opponents without a touchdown for the six quarters of the 2023 season. Memphis has not allowed a touchdown on defense through two games — the two TDs scored by Tiger opponents have come off of offensive turnovers.

Rice’s 43-41 double-overtime win against Houston gave the Owls the Bayou Bucket trophy for the first time since the 2010 season. Rice faces Texas State Saturday in its second consecutive game against a team from the city of Houston.

Question, and I hope at least 5 people reply so as to present what is really desired:

Regarding these weekly schedule threads, which is better for the list of games, the way it is above with all of the series details or this abbreviated style version…

Saturday, September 16

Norfolk State at Temple (2 p.m., ESPN+)

East Carolina at Appalachian State (3:30 p.m., ESPN+)

Alabama at South Florida (3:30 p.m., ABC)

Oklahoma at Tulsa (3:30 p.m., ESPN2)

Tulane at Southern Miss (4 p.m., ESPNU)

Georgia State at Charlotte (6 p.m., ESPN+)

Louisiana at UAB (7 p.m., ESPN+)

North Texas at Louisiana Tech (7 p.m., ESPN+)

Texas Southern at Rice (7 p.m., ESPN+)

Prairie View A&M at SMU (7 p.m., ESPN+)

Florida Atlantic at Clemson (8 p.m., ACC Network)

Reason I ask is to see if there is actual interest in the series stuff or not vs just getting a quick view of the games.

Thanks in advance for those who will actually take the time to say something!

Agreed on abbreviated version. Some good info in the long version, but I tend to gloss over it.

Series information is nice but I can live with the short version.

The short version is a sufficient default; you could consider using the former to highlight key match-ups. Thanks!
