Charlotte tied a school record with 13 runs in NCAA postseason play while Jack Dragum tied the postseason record with four hits as the Niners defeated Maryland 13-10 in Friday nights opening round contest of the Greenville Regional. Charlotte will now face #13 and top-seeded East Carolina in Saturdays winners bracket contest at 6:00 PM EST.

Hunter Wells tied a Bulldog single-game record with nine RBI in an 18-2 runaway victory over Rider in the opener of the Ruston NCAA Regional on Friday night at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park. The third baseman launched two home runs and a pair of doubles for 12 total bases to cap off a historic night in LA Tech's first game as an NCAA Regional host. They will next take on NC State at 7:00 PM EST.

No. 1 seed Old Dominion survived and advanced Friday night thanks in large part to their bullpen, defeating Jacksonville, 4-3, at Founders Park at the University of South Carolina in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. They will next take on the Gamecocks Saturday at 7:00 PM EST.

No. 3 seed Florida State belted three home runs to upend No. 2 seed and 20th-ranked Southern Miss 5-2 Friday afternoon in the opening game of the NCAA Oxford Regional at Swayze Field. The Golden Eagles outhit the Seminoles 9-7, but finished the game 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position. FSU went 2-for-6, both being two-run home runs.
