Game 1 is underway with FAU trailing after 3 innings. FAU took an early lead due to a walk and wild pitch, but Rice responded with 2 homers in the 2nd and a hit by pitch RBI while having bases loaded in the 3rd.

End 3rd: FAU 2, Rice 4

This is just a crazy year…

We were 17-9, 4-2 after two AAC series with a win over Vandy and two over Miami.

if we lose this opener tonight, we will be 24-23, 10-12.

That would be a 7-14, 6-10 mark since.

Couldn't take the lead, but FAU has a chance to force extra innings if they prevent Rice from getting a walk-off.

Why do we always make pitching changes as of late when the guy is doing well, and then the guy who comes in ruins the situation?!

Terrible way to lose.

Credit to FAU for keeping the game close; just unfortunate they couldn't fend off Rice in the final inning.
