Notes

Owls

FAU will travel to Fort Myers to close a four-game season series against Florida Gulf Coast. This fourth game, the second at FGCU, was originally scheduled for earlier this March before poor weather conditions caused it's postponement.

Last weekend, the Owls started conference play with a four-game sweep over Marshall. The sweep saw the Owls outscore the Thundering Herd 35-11 in the series, as FAU batted .319 as a team with 12 extra-base hits, including five home runs.

Eagles

FGCU also kickstarted their conference play last weekend, but lost their series to Stetson two games to one.

A trio of Eagles bat at .365 or higher this season, with Richie Garcia pacing the team with his .372 average. He is second on the squad with 18 RBI, trailing Joe Kinker with 21.

For the first time all season, Mitch Haritgan will be taking the mound. Should be fun to see how he does tonight and what moves Coach Mac has in mind when he's done pitching.

One batter, one baserunner. Owls look to build some early momentum off of Wilfredo Alvarez's leadoff double.

Hartigan is an amazing young ball player. What an athlete.

Haritgan gave up two big flies and 5 runs in the first inning. Not a great start.

8-0 FGCU.

Mitchell  is still an amazing ball player. Do not take fgcu  baseball lightly. They are and have been very very good. Chris sale pitched there and he isn't bad. Harriman is throwing because he has to. Our staff is just that depleted

Yeah, they gave Mitch one inning, then put Nick Del Prado in for the second. Mitch was coming off of an injury and hadn't been pitching in a while, so it is somewhat understandable. It's just not our day.

Adrien Reese had a pretty good third inning. Walked just one batter, gave up no hits, and struck out two.
