Thought about him just the other day and wondered the same thing. Really miss his stuff at the Sun-Sentinel, would read it EVERY DAY - hint hint SS!Posted On: Jun 30th 2014, 8:53 PM #332306
Dieter tweets everyday and gives overall better coverage. He also has to cover many other things than ted did

It's a different time, but I am not sure how you can say that 140 characters a day is better than a full blog posting everyday. Ted seemed to enjoy covering FAU and as you said he only covered FAU, Dieter, and I don't blame him, he is a young man, he is doing his time and making a name for himself for a bigger beat assignment. What Ted did in a formative time for FAU will never happen again with the state of news coverage. I checked the Sun Sentinel everyday when Ted was there, I am out of that habit now. Not a knock on Dieter, just a change in how things are now.

If they replace Dieter, I hope it is Andrew, but I wouldn't wish that on him if he doesn't want to be the dedicated FAU beat guy.
IMO, Ted did a better job as the FAU Beat blogger, something I really enjoyed, but I think Dieter had better knowledge of the recruiting aspect.
Two different styles so those who liked the blog type of interaction would prefer Ted, and those who like to follow recruiting probably would prefer Dieter. To each his own.

Scarlett had this to say to the Sentinel:
"I felt like FAU wasn't the best decision for me academically and out on the football field," Scarlett said. "At my position, you need your body and at FAU, I would need to carry the team and I'm trying to get my body ready for the NFL."Posted On: Jun 27th 2014, 10:49 AM #332230
Rick, he's 17 how PC can you be at 17. Best of luck to Jordan, I think he will do fine wherever he goes.

We'll he did it any other of the 127 D-1 schools I wouldn't have cared at all. Going to scUM rubs salt in the wound.
Now I wish him the absolute worst in his career f*** him and f*** the UM and there garbage bandwagon fan base.
Scarlett hey when there are 20k at a conference game in the middle of October your going to wondering if this program really won five national titles.
And do not be surprised to you have 3 coaches in five years. The coach there now almost left for a school on probation.
I hope we crush you in 2015 I mean crush you to the point where you can't play anymore.
