I think anyone we accept a verbal from at this point should be a solid 3 star or better or else we sign a few JUCOs and wait for later in the recruiting season to good quality late signees (again 3 star level).
We really should not be counting on way over half of a recruiting class being long term projects anymore, who may develop or may grow.
We are not in the Belt anymore and that REALLY did not work out too well our last few seasons there.

Not that I need to, but I want to say how good of a job Coach is doing. He and his staff have put together an outstanding committed class. I looked at two of our competitors to see what they were doing and I was pleased with the results. MTSU looks as though they had so many holes that they hit the JUCO 's heavy. As we know , this is hit or miss. They have three JUCO LB's coming in. Hard to believe that the coaching staff let the team be that depleted of LB's.The other was Marshall. Normally they kill us in the state of Florida and leave us in the dust with quality recruits. Very different this year. They have felt the Partridge Effect and we have put together a better class than them. What does all this mean? FAU will be a force in CUSA for the next few years. Even without knowing what future classes will look like and I don't see a let down coming. Pat Chun found the right guy.

A good size HS DT I must say, Welcome to FAU Josh, eat up and work out and you can be that 300 LB. MONSTER DT by your sophomore year!

I think you guys will like Josh Kendall alot when all is said and done. This kid has the opportunity to be a beast. Already pretty damn big. Great kid, who has the drive to succeed. Also has a great support system, his parents are extremely nice and raised a humble, respectful young man. Should be a great representative of FAU!
