Awesome dinner (Chartwells did a great job), great atmosphere. Wished more people would've shown, but only 2 weeks notice it is understandable. Power went out after dinner so we didn't get to see the highlight video of the recruits. The coaches did a great job of improvising and were still able to describe each recruit in detail. The recruiting class sounds great. This coaching staff is pumped up and Pelini has incredible optimism about the program's future.
Next year let's fill up that room.
Not sure if you left early, but the power eventually did return and we got a chance to see the video.
Great event, much better than last year. Lots of positive enthusiasm around the program!

Power went out across the Northern edge of campus. From the Business complex to IVA, which includes the Alumni Center, the rec, the sciences complex, medical school, Engineering East, the Stadium (including Subway), and both IVA towers. Henderson Fields, PBSC, and the R&D Park did not lose power though.
While you guys were enjoying dinner in the stadium, hundreds of students were roaming the streets from the rec to IVA, with FAU Police escorting traffic around the area.

I know it isn't much but I donate $5 out of every paycheck to the football program. Just an idea for any employees out there that want to contribute. Contact the Foundation Office in the Admin. building if interested.

That's a great idea, you never know it's gone and over time it really does add up.
Had a great time at the dinner, I stayed long enough for the power to come back on and watch the video. As said before it's a highlight video so it better be good but I really do feel good about this class and this coaching staff. I do believe they are committed to building this program and have staked their futures on the success of FAU Football.
To Mark, Congrats on the trip to Auburn, if you need a traveling partner for the 2nd seat I can make myself available. ;)
GO OWLS!
