Florida Atlantic picked up another quality pledge on Friday night as Georgia offensive lineman Ovie Dubre announced his decision to join the Owls. The big man held offers from FAU, Charlotte, UT Martin, Charleston Southern, and Grambling.
After visiting the 49ers back in March, Dubre would later travel south to Boca Raton, where he took in FAU's win over Rice. Watching the team grit out the victory impressed him.
"When I went to the FAU vs Rice game, I watch them struggling at first. But they just keep fighting, and exhibited the never give up attitude", said Dubre. "And the coaches and players made me feel at home."
Dubre is listed by Georgia Varsity as a Top 10 prospect at his position, and was awarded a spot on the Georgia High School Association's Region 2-7A First Team.

Dubre is the second pledge on the offensive line for the Owls, and the 14th commitment overall for the 2023 cycle.
